Rainwater management system that prevents water ingress into buildings during heavy storms.
Suitable for the majority of asbestos cement and profiled metal roofs and some glazed systems.
Uni-Dam is a rainwater system that prevents water ingress into buildings during heavy storms. It comprises a series of blade-like dams fitted along the roof's entire length at right angles to the downslope.
Th Uni-Dam assembly is fixed to the rib or upper corrugation of the roof sheet, leaving a continuous gap between the bottom of the blade and the roof sheet. As rainfall intensifies and builds in speed and depth, the blades create mini dams that arrest the excess water, slowing its speed and containing its volume.
The number and size of the blade assemblies are determined, following a survey, by calculation. Considerations are given to the roof slope length, roof pitch, gutter capacity and the geographical location of the building that would help dictate the size of the storm.
