Automated cycle wheel ramp ideal for a wide range of applications including railway stations, schools and universities, hospitals, shopping centres, local authorities, highstreets, carparks etc.
VeloComfort® is an assisted system for bikes, which helps cyclists to move their bicycle with virtually no effort. The VeloComfort® range comes in two innovative designs: Up and Down versions in robust aluminium and stainless steel. They are modular and can fit any cycle tread depth and most stair angles where there is a steep slope (>22°).
VeloComfortDown ®: From top to bottom
When going down stairs the cyclist needs to slow the bike down, so with the VeloComfortDown®, the entire length is equipped with a gutter brush. The gutter brush is made from a high quality, durable and low-maintenance aluminium double-sided channel, which is equipped with brush strips on both sides. These brush strips are over the entire length covered by a stainless steel guard. The friction of the gutter brush ensures that the bike slows down, allowing the user to determine his/her own pace during the descent. The entrance and exit of the conveyor are aesthetically, functionally and safely integrated into the system. VeloComfort®Down is suitable for all bikes with two wheels behind each other, both for bikes with wide and thin tyres as well as for light and heavy cycles.
VeloComfortUp®: From bottom to top
In this case the cycle wheel gutter is equipped with a bicycle ‘travelator’ or conveyor belt. The bike conveyor is activated once the integrated sensors detect a bike and automatically stops if the conveyor is completely free of bicycles. The high quality conveyor (kevlar-based) belt runs in a durable, low-maintenance aluminium double-sided channel and is powered by an electric motor. The entrance and exit of the conveyor are aesthetically, functionally and safely integrated into the system, with the electric motor positioned on the side of the conveyor belt. VeloComfortUp® is suitable for all bikes with hand brakes, for bikes with two wheels behind each other, for bikes with wide and thin tyres as well as for light and heavy bikes. Bikes without hand brakes will be upwards transported, however such cycles require a little more support from the user.
