ZES22 – Audio Over Ethernet Converter - Digital Audio Processor

The digital audio processor ZES-22 is a NEO Series accessory that allows the user to expand the system by adding remotely distributed audio sources to create bigger performance audio installations. The ZES-22 brings a high flexibility level on size and configuration, and is suitable for building with remote locations as it only needs an Ethernet connection.

It is composed by four balanced audio ports that can be configured as inputs or outputs individually. Those analogue balanced audio inputs/ outputs offer excellent performance by using quality A/D and D/A converters. The input sensitivity is also configurable and output levels are standardized for 1 Vp. This digital audio processor allows an amplified dynamic range, gain control and equalizer.

The audio signal from any of the inputs or outputs can be treated internally through DSP processing, that includes level controls, parametric equalization and compressor/ limiter. Moreover, it includes a cross matrix that makes possible to send or receive every channel to any other device at the systems using the Cobranet® protocol. This protocol allows the transmission of up to 64 simultaneous audio channels without compression over a 100 Mbps network.

The ZES-22 only occupies half a rack unit of with. It also offers the possibility to unite two ZES-22 in order to have double functionality, and occupying just one rack unit of width. In order to connect with ethernet network and NEO systems, ZES-22 provides the latest generation ETX module with 3 RJ-45 ports and a manageable switch integrated, which is able to connect to several network topologies.
