OVERVIEW
Troldtekt wood wool acoustic panels have been used to dramatic effect in newly-constructed rehearsal building for Regents Park Open Air Theatre.
Designed by architects Reed Watt, the facility comprises kitchen, offices and green room encircling a stunning double-height dance and rehearsal studio in its centre. The details of the structure were designed to reinforce the magic of the setting in which trees, plants and sky surround the visitor. The walls are clad with dark stained larch which helps to blur the distinction between building and landscape while creating a natural extension to the existing buildings along the edge of the site.
The natural wood wall panelling in natural grey complements the natural setting and the use of natural materials throughout while helping dampen and keep the reverberated sound to a minimum. Troldtekt panels are frequently specified for these types of projects as a key way to control acoustics.
Specified throughout the UK and Europe, the benefits of 100% Troldtekt natural wood wool panels include high sound absorption, high durability, natural breathability, low cost life cycle performance and sustainability as documented by Cradle to Cradle certification at silver level.
The panels are also specified to improve acoustics in many different projects, such as schools, leisure centres, pools, commercial, private and public buildings. Available in various sizes and in four grades from extreme fine to coarse, they can be left untreated or painted in virtually any RAL colour.
