Orwell House, Tower Hamlets, London

OVERVIEW

BCM supplied these striking GRC ‘picture surrounds’ to the balconies of a residential development now known as Orwell House, on Baroness Road in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The chequerboard pattern of the surrounds echoes the design of the blocks of the original estate, but their terracotta colour provides the new block with a radical, modern façade.

The surrounds were expertly installed by BCM's partner installer, Henley Stone, who completed their installation in early 2020.
