Dr Lee Shau Kee Access Centre & William Doo Undergraduate Centre (John Watkins Building - Wadham College Student Centre)

OVERVIEW

The two connecting buildings consist of an undergraduate centre and an access centre for school students attending outreach events such as summer schools. Backed by benefactors William Doo and Lee Shau Kee, after which the two blocks are named, the new buildings sit in the college’s Back Quad, surrounded by mature trees, and replace Wadham College's 1951 Goddard Building. The William Doo Undergraduate Centre is designed to improve facilities for Wadham’s 450 undergraduate students, reflecting the increasing importance of social spaces in today’s universities, combining a junior common room, café and bar and daylight work areas.

Aluprof systems were installed include Aluprof's MB-SR50N Curtain Wall and MB-SR50N EFEKT - Curtain Wall with Hidden Vent Top hung window system. The project is finished externally in honey bronze anodising.
