OVERVIEW
The Challenge: Ensuring Robustness and Load Capacity in High-Performance Terraces
The E3 & E4 Wood Wharf development presented a unique challenge: designing terraces capable of supporting high design loads for heavy equipment needed for facade/glass replacement and maintenance. The solution required robust materials, precise technical planning, and collaboration from the early stages of the project. RYNO needed to deliver a system that could meet the structural demands without compromising aesthetics, ensuring the terraces met the architectural vision.
Balancing performance and adaptability can be a complex task in high-demand projects. RYNO’s TerraSmart® Rail System provided a solution tailored to the specific needs of this development.
The Solution: The TerraSmart® Rail System – Designed for Strength and Precision
From the initial stages of RIBA 3 and 4, RYNO collaborated closely with the project architect, providing technical guidance to design a system that supported 80mm-thick concrete pavers. The TerraSmart® Rail System was selected to address the project’s requirements for strength, durability, and adaptability:
RYNO’s involvement extended to working with Tilbury, the appointed subcontractor, providing hands-on support throughout the installation process.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Tailored Support Every Step of the Way
Open communication and a proactive approach ensured the project’s challenges were addressed efficiently:
Real Results: Durable, Aesthetically Pleasing Terraces
The successful installation of RYNO’s TerraSmart® Rail System resulted in robust terraces that seamlessly integrated with the Wood Wharf development.
