OVERVIEW
The Grade II listed Market Hall in Cardigan is a much-loved community building which has been in constant use since it first opened in 1860. The building was in need of significant restoration and suffered from a lack of accessibility.
Neighbouring building the Guildhall was restored in 2009 and a scheme of repair and refurbishment was initiated for the Market Hall in 2023 to complement this. As well as extensive repairs and an upgrading of services throughout the building, a new entrance tower was added. This incorporated a lift and public toilet facilities on each level and has improved accessibility
Vertix Systems supplied EasySeam Wall Cladding System in a Flat profile for the entrance tower lift shaft in dark grey. The choice of metal standing seam profile and colour add a contemporary twist to the two historic buildings.
“We are very pleased with the quality and finish of the Vertix Easyseam cladding fitted to our new building at Cardigan Guildhall Market. It also looks wonderful.”
