DIMFAB Pads

DIMFAB Pads

ACE Fabreeka UK

DIMFAB Pads have been successfully used since the 1980s by the US Navy for submarine & surface ship vibration and shock applications. DIMFAB pads are manufactured using a custom blended elastomeric compound that conforms to MIL-D-2709 specification for Distributed Isolation Material (DIM). This DIM also meets or exceeds the environmental specifications for salt spray, temperature storage, oil immersion, fungus, and ozone. DIMFAB is produced in 18" x 18" (457.2mm x 457.2mm) sheets. At ACE we can help design DIMFAB pads to meet your application needs, as well as supply this material cut into predetermined shapes, including washers. FAB 3000-050 Theory

FAB 3000-050 Theory

ACE Fabreeka UK

Vibration Isolation: Theory of Foundations for Buildings, Equipment, and Machines. Vibrating, rotating, reciprocating, and impacting are all movements that can induce vibrations and/or shocks which is then transmitted. If there is equipment causing unwanted movement, this can be isolated to separate the machine for contact points that allow transmission. Alternatively, the area around the machine can be isolated, which is useful if you need to isolate high precision equipment. Depending on the circumstances, a machine can be both a source and recipient of unwanted vibration. This document covers the basics of vibration theory - why it is important, and why do we need to isolate it? FABCEL Pads

FABCEL Pads

ACE Fabreeka UK

FABCEL Pads have been used for over 60 years in machine mounting and sensitive equipment applications, where absorption of impact shock or isolation of transmitted vibration is desired. These vibration damping pads are manufactured from nitrile rubber in a range of types ad thicknesses that allow for optimal loads and isolator performance. The unique cell geometry of the FABCEL products are specifically designed to maintain the proper shape factor under loads, which allows FABCEL pads to support more load than other pads of the same size and thickness. Download our FABCEL Pads Product Catalogue to read more about vibration damping & isolation theory, and how the FABCEL shape factor works. Fabreeka Pad

Fabreeka Pad

ACE Fabreeka UK

Fabreeka Pad is the original preformed, fabric reinforced, elastomeric pad developed in 1936. The properties of the Fabreeka Pad are exceptionally suited for impact shock control, vibration isolation, and structure-borne noise isolation. Fabreeka Pad can be used as a bearing pad as well as for isolation washers, bushings, and OEM parts. Fabreeka Pad prevents cracking and flaking of concrete, eliminates the need for grout, and prolongs the life of both machines and structures. Each preformed fabric pad made by Fabreeka is scientifically constructed to give years of service under the most severe operating conditions. Fabreeka-PTFE Pads

Fabreeka-PTFE Pads

ACE Fabreeka UK

Fabreeka-PTFE Bearing Pads are comprised of the original fabric reinforced elastomeric pad developed by Fabreeka in 1936 and PTFE. The unique PTFE bearing pad uses the Teflon surface in expansion bearing & pipe slide applications. Fabreeka-PTFE Pads also accommodate construction irregularities, such as rotation and non-parallel load bearing surfaces, whilst each PTFE surface provides a sliding surface to accommodate expansion. In pipe slide applications, where temperatures are high, the PTFE (Teflon) surface provides a layer of insulation for the Fabreeka Pad. PTFE can be exposed to 200°C (~ 400°F) while Fabreeka Pad is limited to 100°C (~220°F). The PTFE also allows for the pipe to expand/contract within the clamp by providing a low coefficient of friction.

Fabsorb VS Felt

Fabsorb VS Felt

ACE Fabreeka UK

Fabreeka developed Fabsorb as a foundation isolation material primarily for side wall isolation. It absorbs machine-induced energy, limits the transmission of higher frequency disturbances, and provides isolation from ambient and induced shock/vibration. In comparison to felt like material, which tends to stiffen over time (and therefore loses its original isolation characteristics), Fabsorb is not susceptible to deterioration through water absorption and wicking. Fabsorb is a unique, medium-density, closed-cell foam material that as been specifically designed for vibration isolation applications. This document highlights the difference in performance between our Fabsorb product and Felt products on the market.
