Granberg is a pioneer in creating disabled-friendly kitchens and is one of the world's leading providers of assisted kitchen and bathroom solutions. Synonymous with modern and functional design, Granberg offers a wide range of inclusive products such as height adjustable kitchen worktops and islands, rise and fall wall cabinets, electric wardrobe lifts, and motorised baby changing stations.

An adapted and wheelchair-accessible kitchen must be functionally and ergonomically designed to best serve the individuals with disabilities, as well as other family members. Worktops, storage cabinets, sinks and appliances should also be designed to maximise functionality and allow the kitchen to be used effectively by all individuals.

Granberg systems are flexible enough to be incorporated into different kitchen scenarios. Existing kitchens can be retrofitted with Granberg lift systems and adapted for accessibility, transforming them into functional wheelchair-friendly kitchens. This can be done by incorporating Granberg mechanisms into the units, modifying your standard worktops and cupboards into rise and fall worktops and electric wall cabinets, which can be lowered to an accessible height.

When designing for a home, school, care home or office, it can be reassuring to get a second opinion about your product selection to ensure the best solution for your project. Our experienced team are happy to help you by checking your drawings before they go out for tender. Feel free to email your plans to us and we will check that suitable products have been selected, and you have the optimum solution for your needs.

At Granberg, we believe it is important to provide the best possible support and customer service before and after the sale. Expertise is available, giving the customer confidence and assurance in Granberg.

Granberg has a long and successful history which speaks for itself. Otto Granberg began making and selling his first chairs at the local market in 1870. Business went well and Otto’s workshop started to mass-produce furniture. He soon expanded Granberg’s range to include doors and staircases.

After 30 years Otto handed over the company to his son Frans, who expanded the range yet further. He began to produce school furniture and interior joinery products too. After another 30 years of success, the business was handed down to Frans’s four sons.

Granberg’s modern history began in 1960, when the company moved direction into developing kitchens for the disabled. The company has now produced quality products for the disabled for nearly 70 years and has become a world-leading manufacturer of accessible kitchens.

Over the years Granberg has grown to become a world-leading kitchen technology company. With a tradition of genuine craftsmanship, personal service and innovation, the Granberg brothers continue to expand the business. Granberg has an international network of dealers with retailers around the world.

A trusted name since 1870, Granberg is now proudly operated by the fifth generation of the Granberg brothers. Function, quality and innovation continue to be the bywords for their designs.

All Granberg’s products are handmade in their own facilities in Norrkoping, Sweden. This way Granberg retains full control over the quality and capacity of production. The company has its own modern product development using the 3D software Solidworks.

Granberg has a network of suppliers mostly based in Sweden. They have extensive experience in manufacturing and can adjust their capacity to meet customer needs. Close ties between sales, marketing and product development ensure that Granberg stays at the forefront of developing and improving products according to customer needs.

Granberg participates in key trade shows across Europe, such as the ZOW and Interzum shows in Germany. These trade shows provide an important occasion for Granberg to meet their clients face to face and they facilitate interaction opportunities with industry professionals. Shows such as these place Granberg on the world stage when it comes to manufacturing and supplying premium accessible solutions.

At Granberg, we continuously assess and enhance our environmental initiatives within our manufacturing and development processes, all while upholding our tradition of quality craftsmanship.

We value our business partners’ dedication to environmental sustainability. We aim to develop products with minimal environmental impact during manufacturing, use and disposal. Negative environmental impact is minimised as far as possible through preventive and continuous improvements, such as using raw materials, water and energy as efficiently as possible.
