Its commitment to innovation and passenger comfort has made it a model for airports around the world.Interfloor was proud to be chosen to supply 144,000 sqm of our Durafit 500 underlay for the departure lounges and air bridges in Terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4 at the world famous Singapore Changi Airport. With that kind of foot traffic our Durafit range of crumb rubber underlays was the perfect solution, as crumb rubber is without doubt the most durable underlay available. With an End Use Classification (BS 5808: 1991 : HC/U) of heavy contract use, Durafit 500 has 93% recovery from compression as well as containing over 65% recycled materials.

The City of Dreams Mediterranean Resort is Europe’s first integrated resort located in Limassol, Cyprus. The resort is built up of 500 luxury hotel rooms, multiple 5 star restaurants, a casino, spa and adventure park. The City of Dreams Resort has the biggest casino in Europe with a total of 7,500m2 and the biggest conference room in Cyprus. Interfloor was proud to supply 18,000m2 of Duralay Technics 5 and 5,000m2 of Duralay Technics 6 for this project, this underlay was used in areas all over the resort, including the casino, mass gaming room, VIP gaming rooms, restaurants, guestrooms and corridors

First opened in 2011, the Galaxy Resort is one of the largest and most exclusive venues in the world’s gaming capital, Macau, where 36 million people chance their luck every year. Interfloor was proud to be involved in this ambitious project, supplying 108,000 sqm of our Tredaire Defender & 25,000 sqm Tredaire Xtra sponge rubber underlay for the guestrooms, public areas and corridors with an additional 5,000 sqm of our Tredaire FR6 high density PU underlay for hotel corridors.Tredaire Defender was specified at design stage, as this type of sponge rubber textured flat helps to give a luxurious feel, protects the carpet under heavy traffic and passes a wide range of international flammability tests at a cost-effective price.Tredaire FR6 flame retardant underlay was used in the corridors as they wanted a lightweight alternative, and the high-density PU composition is both light and durable with an End Use Classification (BS 5808: 1991: HC/U) Heavy Contract Use, perfect for the high footfall and wheeled baggage. The Tredaire underlay range is renowned for comfort. One of Singapore’s most recognizable landmarks, the Marina Bay Sands Hotel & Casino was built in 2010 with over 2,200 luxurious hotel rooms, a casino, theatre, museum and shopping mall. Interfloor was proud to supply over 34,000sqm of our New Supreme Sponge Rubber Underlay with 57,000sqm of Tredaire Softwalk, installed into the 2,500+ guest rooms and 60,000 sqm of our Durafit 500 Crumb Rubber Underlay and 32,000sqm of Tredaire Flame Retardant 7 installed into the Casino & public areas. Durafit 500 was the perfect solution for the Casino and Public areas as Crumb rubber is the most durable underlay availableoffering 90% recovery from compression as well as containing 65% recycled materials. Tredaire New Supreme was chosen for its versatility, offering luxurious comfort under foot and resilience to compression which can cause indentation in the carpet or even trip hazards. This was used alongside Tredaire Softwalk, one of our premium PU underlays that will provide the luxurious underfoot feeling across areas of the hotel rooms. 

MGM Macau is a luxurious integrated resort and casino located in Macau, China. The resort features a world-class hotel with over 500 rooms and suites. Inspired by the arts, this hotel is full of contemporary and traditional chinese art and has been on the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star recognition for the last 8 years. In addition to it’s high end hotel rooms and stunning views, this hotel comes equipped with a world-class spa/ wellness centre and an impressive casino, making it a popular hotel destination.Interfloor was proud to supply 15,000m2 of Tredaire Colours Red for all the guest rooms and suite rooms throughout the hotel. Colours Red was picked for the luxurious underfoot feel, with a thickness of 11.40mm and a density of 357kg/m3, this underlay will not only provide ultimate comfort but is also exceptionally good at minimizing both impact sound and airborne sound between rooms, making it a perfect choice for a hotel. Sponge rubber underlay is incredibly flexible and covers more applications than any other underlay type. 

Soundsure 560 was laid over concrete blocks (1350 kg/m3 from Lynx Precast), installed as an acoustic resilient layer below insulation, underfloor heating pipework and 75mm sand / cement screed. Installed in first floor areas of all 8 houses. Soundsure 560 was overlaid with 30mm insulation, a waterproof membrane, and underfloor heating pipes clipped into place. A 75mm sand / cement screed was then laid above. Soundsure 560 was lapped up all perimeter edges, ensuring that the insulation and screed were isolated from the main structure, providing maximum acoustic performanceBenefits of Soundsure 560 • Cost-effective acoustic solution for use with all types of floor screeds. • Exceeds the performance standards required in the UK building regulations for sound insulation. • Ideal for use in New Build Houses, as well as Apartments and Hotels, where acoustic insulation is required. • Excellent acoustic performance from Soundsure 560 – gives 24 dB impact sound improvement when used below 75mm sand / cement screed. • Quick and easy to install without any need for perimeter edge strips. • Provides long-lasting durability and high levels of acoustic performance. • Can be used as an alternative to Robust Details. • Made from recycled rubber crumb.

Sonixx Resilient 250 was installed as an acoustic underlayment. It was bonded to the subfloor and a heterogenous vinyl and carpet tiles were installed on top. The installation was completed as part of a refurbishment to a bar and restaurant area within the hotel. Resilient 250 is a 2.5mm thick, high performing acoustic underlay manufactured using sponge rubber. It significantly reduces impact sound at the source, while also providing superb underfloor comfort. It is a versatile underlay and can be used below various floor coverings including carpet, carpet tiles, wood, laminate, luxury vinyl tiles, vinyl and ceramic / porcelain / natural stone tiles. At only 24kg (43 Ib) per roll, it is easy to distribute around site. Resilient 250 therefore facilitated a simple, quick, clean and cost-effective installation.

Resilient 250 was installed beneath engineered wood flooring in the kitchen, landing and living room, covering approximately 75m². These spaces were located above bedrooms, and it was therefore essential to minimize sound transmission into areas where people would be sleeping. As Resilient 250 is a high performing acoustic underlay, this provided excellent impact performance in excess of UK sound insulation regulations. Resilient 250 was installed as a Soft Floor Covering and bonded to the top of the concrete base. The acoustic underlay achieves the Approved Document E UK Building Regulations (The Resistance to the Passage of Sound) performance standards for Floor Type 1.Resilient 250 was bonded to the concrete base with the Sonixx SX900 adhesive in the living areas of 255 apartments. An 8mm PU foam underlay (Super 8) was loose laid over Resilient 250 and a Cavalier carpet stretch fitted on top.In the bathroom areas the Forbo Surestep Laguna vinyl was installed directly onto the Resilient 250 using F46 (Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Adhesive) from F. Ball and Co Ltd.Resilient 250 is a 2.5mm thick, high performing acoustic underlay manufactured using sponge rubber. It achieves an acoustic performance of 19 dB (ΔLw), significantly reducing the transmission of impact sound. Sonixx Resilient 250 was installed as an acoustic underlayment. It was bonded to the subfloor and an Firmfit SPC floor covering installed on top.The installation was completed at the Eye Zone outlet owned by the Rivoli Group. The Rivoli Group is one of the biggest retailers in the UAE. As the installation was in the Dubai Mall, this makes it a particularly high profile and prestigious installation.

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney Harbour in New South Wales, Australia and is one of the 20th century’s most famous and distinctive buildings. The roof was created to resemble the sail of boats, this creative and very unique roof made it one of the most photographed buildings in the world. Interfloor was proud to supply 11,000 sqm of our Technics 5 underlay to all the carpeted public areas in this building. Duralay Technics 5 was chosen due to its superior flame retardancy, sound insulation properties & durability. With an End Use Classification (BS 5808: 1991: HC/U) of Heavy Contract Use, Technics 5 has an excellent recovery from compression which is essential as the building attracts nearly 11 million visitors each year! Not only is Technics 5 great for heavy footfall but it also acts as a sound reduction for both impact sound and airborne sound, so for commercial buildings like the Sydney Opera House, having underlay that also acts as sound reduction can really boost performance.

The Sonixx Soundsure 400 high performance acoustic underlay was selected for use below a 1/2" engineered wood floor, as part of a flooring refurbishment project in an office building.The installers had nothing but positive feedback on how quick and easy the underlay was to work with. High performing acoustic underlay was selectedfor use below a 20mm engineered wood flooras part of a flooring refurbishment project in aprivate home. The SS400 was loose laid to the subfloor with the 20mmengineered wood flooring floated above. The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel is a luxury hotel and casino resort located on the Cotai Strip in Macau, China. It is one of the largest and most iconic resorts in Macau and is inspired by the city of Venice, Italy. The Venetian Hotel is one of the largest single-building hotels in Asia and the world, with the worlds second biggest casino and more than 3,000 suites, all at least 70sqm, making it a sprawling and impressive complex.Interfloor was proud to supply 100,000m2 of Tredaire Defender for this hotel and casino resort. It has been placed in areas all over the hotel, from guest rooms and public areas to parts of the huge casino. Tredaire Defender is a popular choice for hotels and integrated resorts and has comprehensive flammability testing. It was picked for this project not just for its durability and comfort but also due to it acting as a brilliant impact and airborne sound reduction. 

Sonixx Rubber Crumb Cradles were installed to create a level subfloor system. The cradles were loose laid, laser levelled and a WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) Decking was installed on top.The size of the project was 250m2 and cradles were easily adjusted to achieve a finished height of 120mm. The Sonixx cradles are adaptive, eco friendly and used extensively in new build, refurbishment and conversion projects. They facilitate rapid and easy levelling of uneven subfloors on-site with the use of cradle packers and base packers. The Sonixx Rubber Crumb Cradles offer fast installation and exceptional long lasting performance. Manufactured using recycled rubber crumb, these cradles, base packers and cradle packers can be used to create a perfectly level subfloor, over which decking systems can be installed. All of the rubber crumb used in the cradles, base packers and cradle packers is made from used vehicle tyres, ensuring that all materials are 100% recycled. The components are eco-friendly, durable and come with a 10-year guarantee when used in outdoor applications
