Typically, the Emseal Colorseal system is used in external facades and parapet walls for example, where it is suitable for both single and double-sided wide and/or high movement joint sealing applications, meaning it is suitable as a primary and/or secondary joint sealing solution, according to structural design and exposure requirements. In terms of joint installation and performance, the Emseal Colorseal system is extremely useful to designers because with no invasive mechanical fixings, it provides a watertight sealed joint, with considerable joint movement capability of up to 100%, which will accommodate up to +/- 50% movement of the joint width e.g. plus (+) or minus (-) 50mm for a 100mm wide vertical expansion joint.

Emshield® DSM System has a long and well-proven track record of many years in sealing horizontal plane and below-grade joints. The Emseal DSM System is comprised of factory prepared and precompressed, silicone and impregnated foam hybrid profile that is installed into field-applied structural epoxy adhesive on the joint faces, with the silicone bellows locked to the joint faces with a silicone sealant band. The resulting product is suitable for a wide range of applications to seal horizontal joints in many different types of structure. The composition gives advantages for applications where traditional asphalt and wax-based products do not work well, such as under exposed conditions of thermal shock (leading to rapid opening and closing of joints during large temperature swings).

The Emseal SJS System is a joint filling and sealing system with an integral trafficable coverplate. The system is securely installed by structural bonding so that it is firmly anchored to the joint faces of structural expansion joint, and seals the gaps between flat, level adjacent slabs. Installation will normally bring the top surface of the SJS proud of the finished deck level by the thickness of the coverplate, or it can be slightly recessed, where this installation option has been specified.

The Emseal SJS System (Seismic Joint Sealing) is a high performance, horizontal, watertight, wide and / or high movement, expansion joint sealing system with an integral protective cover plate. It is the ideal solution for sealing wide and / or high movement joints in parking areas for vehicular traffic, with the range including systems for all types of traffic from pedestrians to HGV’s, in traffic, parking and hard standing areas. The Emseal SJS System can also accommodate up to 100% (+/- 50%) movement and is normally used for joints from 100 to 400mm wide, though bespoke systems for joints from 50mm to more than 450mm have been produced.

The intended use of fire rated movement joint sealants EMSHIELDWFR and DFR is to reinstate the fire resistance performance of separating building elements where they are interrupted.
