Working alongside Knight Frank’s PM and Cost teams, AEI Spaces designed a striking new London HQ for global IT and software development company, Globant.Located within the Zig Zag Building on Victoria Street SW1, this complex project utilised a variety of doors to achieve differing acoustic requirements, utilising both curved and faceted partition glass. The design required an open, transparent partition and door system alongside high performing acoustics. A variety of doors feature on the project from the ST40 sliding door (Rw37dB) to the double glazed AR64 door (Rw40dB) in both single and double doorsets. These were paired with single glazed System 3400 mullion free partitions (Rw40dB) which in some areas featured switchable glass to give this global IT and development company the privacy they required within the context of a striking design. Our design team worked closely with Knight Frank to ensure we captured the aesthetic required for the project. Close coordination with main contractor, Parkeray, was necessary from our project team to ensure a seamless installation on this complex project.

Further bespoke elements were created for the door.To complete the effect, lighting tracks were integrated into the partition system to illuminate the slats.KKS chose a champagne colour anodised finish for the reception space and a dark bronze finish for the office floors. Strähle Raum-Systeme redesigned their own office implementing a new vision of the future office. Staff health, well being, efficiency and comfort were at the centre of the design. By creating smaller working groups and using the acoustic properties of System 7400 to control the flow of sound, the office is a relaxing, efficient and safe space to work in.In the post Covid-19 world, the physical barrier of the system assists in controlling virus spread yet does not impact on the visual openness of the space. Surfaces are easy to clean and individual work areas have helped staff psycologically when returning to work.Kubus pods have also been installed to give areas requiring greater privacy. At the BAU 2019 exhibition, the office was awarded the DGNB Interiors Certificate. The certificate for interiors combines all relevant aspects of sustainable development of interiors. Health, comfort and well-being are basic human needs. The DGNB certificate for interiors focuses on these needs, thereby creating the basis for long-term commercial success
