Securiclad were asked to provide a prime barrier to enhance and fortify a battery room within UK Data Centre, Aegis. A need for a heightened security had been identified inline with recent data centre security breaches. Securiclad high security wall and ceiling panels rated to LPS1175 D10 (SR4) were used to create an external secure envelope and Isoclad Firestop 10 panels were used to create fire rated inner walls. Delivery and installation were time critical, and the installation of the enclosure needed to be carried out with minimum mess and disruption to data centre operations.By manufacturing a completely bespoke system and supplying pre-finished panels, negating the need for wet trades, Securiclad were able to deliver within the tight delivery timeframes required and keep installation time and disruption to an absolute minimum. The aesthetic appearance and finish of the enclosure was manufactured to a specific predetermined Dust Free White Gloss Laminate effect. The data centre enclosure was situated on the first floor of the building, which may have proved to be problematic for the client, however Securiclad utilised the excellent working relationships with nominated contracting teams to overcome this obstacle. Securiclad also provided consultation, technical expertise and advice at the design stage. The bespoke solution of LPS1175 D10 (SR4) wall & ceiling panels, plus Isoclad Firestop 10 internal panels means the new battery room at the data centre is fit for purpose from all respects and ready to protect.
