ACT a permanent, elastic and airtight connection for Membranes, Vapour control layers, Sealing of Panel or board connections and penetrations, providing a 'secure and invisible bond'.
Application
Applications include:
- Frame and panel connections.
- Timber, cross-laminated (CLT) and light gauge steel framing (LGSF) construction.
- Glazing, structural glazing and partitioning.
- Skylights and window elements.
- Sealing membranes to low energy surfaces.
- Vapour layers to difficult low energy surfaces - concrete, steels, masonry, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), building plastics, boards, sheathing, plaster and external boards.
- Airtight seal around apertures, doors and windows.
- Seals various frame types including, aluminium, PVC, Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and masonry.
Description
Acrylic foam tapes provide permanent, strong and reliable adhesive that bonds to a wide variety of surfaces including low surface energy substrates.
The 'very high bond' double sided acrylic foamed adhesive can be used as a replacement for heavy mechanical fasteners and liquid adhesives due to their ease of use and reliability.
ACT perform particularly well in applications that are subjected to movement as they have exceptional resistance to dynamic shear, also withstanding thermal movement and dynamic forces.
Good temperature resistance and excellent ageing and weathering properties.
