Application

Suitable for brickwork, concrete, copings, and perimeter sealing of windows.

Description

A high durability, one part polysulphide sealant, suitable for perimeter sealing of timber windows.

Features and benefits:

  • Relatively slow initial cure means that this sealant is not recommended for joints wider than 25 mm or for use in public areas/ schools, or areas liable to vandalism.
  • It is compatible with both paint and stain finishes including water-borne products, but excessive movement may cause the paint to crack and induce tears in the sealant.
  • Resistant to most alkalis and dilute acids, petrol, diesel, jet fuel and many solvents and vegetable oils. Should not cause migratory staining on concrete or masonry.
  • Very good UV resistance.
  • Available in six standard colours.
  • Burns, but will not readily ignite, so does not constitute a fire hazard.
  • Correctly applied, the sealant should not require maintenance, and has an anticipated life in excess of 20 years.
  • Health and safety: The product is labelled as harmful; its use should be recorded in the Project Health and Safety Plan.
