Description

BASWA Phon is a seamless acoustic plaster system with a durable trowel applied marble plaster finish.

By discreetly absorbing reverberation, BASWA Phon promotes healthy interiors and acoustic comfort without compromising the design.

The system is available in four thicknesses: 30, 40, 50 and 70 mm; and in three smooth marble plaster finish granulometry options: Base (0.7 mm), Fine (0.5 mm) and Top (0.3 mm).

The surface coatings may be applied as a single coat or as a two-coat “Classic” system which is recommended for curved or sidelight-exposed surfaces. The choice of surface coatings and system thickness will also determine the acoustic performance.

A typical BASWA Phon specification would for example be BASWA Phon Classic Fine 40 mm (system/ finish/ thickness).

Features and benefits:

  • Excellent sound absorption, up to class A.
  • Minimum installation height requirements.
  • Smooth surface.
  • Practically unlimited choice of colours.
  • Non-flammable (A2-s1, d0) according to DIN EN 13501-1.
  • Can be combined with cooling and heating systems (BASWA thermal-acoustic systems).
  • Can be combined with BASWA Basic, BASWA Natural and BASWA Cool.
  • Usable in Minergie Eco projects.
  • LEED certification contributions.
  • CE certified/ ETA-No: 16/ 0144 (CSTB).

The acoustic panels are adhered to an airtight plasterboard or concrete substrate and grouted with BASWA Fill. The BASWA finish coatings are then applied by trowel in either a single coat, or a two-coat “Classic” system depending on the design and acoustic requirements. Due to its discreet appearance and high quality materials, BASWA is suitable for use in both contemporary styles and even sensitive heritage or conservation projects. BASWA Phon is installed by trained and certified installers.
