Description

Cold liquid-applied balcony and walkway system suitable for new build and refurbishment applications with a hard-wearing quartz finish.

 

Plus points:

  • A distinct advantage is the fast cure times for installation on areas continuously in use by the building’s occupants so that any inconvenience is kept to a minimum.
  • Thick layer system with a choice of surface finishes and colours.
  • Full bonding to the substrate.
  • Polyester reinforced system over occupied areas and all details.

  • CCPI Verification 0007700033/1125​: this systems CCPI mark provides accuracy of data delivering assurance to specifiers.
  • BBA Certificate 14/5152.
  • Fire properties – membranes deemed “unrestricted” in certain circumstances as categorised in BBA certificate.
  • Fire classification BROOF(t4) to BS EN 13501-5 tested to TS 1187 test 4 for external fire exposure on defined permutations of product build up.
  • An unreinforced balcony system with LiquiPAVE RF has been tested to EN ISO 11925-2 and 9239-1 and satisfied the criteria for Euroclass Bfl-S1 according to EN 13501-1.

  • LiquiTEC LiquiBALKON / LiquiPAVE RF System: Cold-applied liquid system consisting of Bauder LiquiBALKON reinforced with a polyester fleece, finished with an aggregate bond coat of Bauder LiquiPAVE RF and Bauder Quartz. Suitable for concrete or paving grade asphalt substrates.

Bauder LiquiPRIME 1.

Guidance for specification option:

A cold liquid-applied, fast-curing primer, for use when installing the Bauder LiquiTEC system over asphalt, timber and bitumen-based substrates. The product is a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-based resin, and requires the addition of a catalyst to trigger curing. It is solvent, isocyanate and halogen-free, minimizing its environmental impact.

  • Colour: Clear.
  • Coverage: 0.4 kg/m² (minimum).
  • Application temperature: 0–35°C.
  • Application method: Roller.
  • Rainproof time: 30 minutes (approximate).
  • Overcoat/ traffic time: 45 minutes (approximate).


Bauder LiquiPRIME 2.

Guidance for specification option:

A cold liquid-applied, fast-curing primer, for use when installing the Bauder LiquiTEC system over brick, block and cementitious-based substrates. The product is a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-based resin, and requires the addition of a catalyst to trigger curing. It is solvent, isocyanate and halogen-free, minimizing its environmental impact.

  • Coverage: 0.4 kg/m² (minimum).
  • Application temperature: 0–35°C.

Guidance for specification option:

A fast-curing wateproofing resin, for use on the main flat area of the LiquiTEC Balcony / Walkway System, beneath the Quartz layer or other hard landscaping elements. It is a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-based resin that requires a catalyst and is solvent, isocyanate and halogen-free.

  • Colour: Pebble grey (RAL 7032).
  • Coverage: 3 kg/m² (minimum).
  • Application temperature: 0–35°C.
  • Application method: Roller.
  • Rainproof time: 45 minutes approx.
  • Overcoat/ traffic time: 60 minutes approx.
  • Able to withstand stress: 180 minutes approx.

LiquiPAVE RF.

Guidance for specification option:

LiquiPAVE R:

An unpigmented, cold liquid-applied, fast-curing waterproofing resin, used in conjunction with 110 g Reinforcement Fleece for overbanding of dynamic cracks and joints in the substrate prior to the installation of the Deck Floor Layer. It is also the resin component of LiquiPAVE RF Deck Floor Layer. LiquiPAVE R is a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-based resin, and requires the addition of catalyst to trigger curing. It is solvent, isocyanate and halogen free, minimizing its environmental impact.

  • Coverage: dependent on application.
  • Application temperature: 0–35°C.
  • Rainproof time: 30 minutes (approx).
  • Overcoat/ traffic time: 60 minutes (approx, for overbanding).
  • Able to withstand stress: 120 minutes (approx).


LiquiPAVE F:

A quartz powder, used in conjunction with LiquiPAVE R to produce LiquiPAVE RF Deck Floor Layer, which is used extensively as a wearing course in the LiquiTEC Balcony / Walkway system.

  • Appearance: white-coloured fine powder.
  • Mixing Ratio: 2.3:1 (LiquiPAVE F: LiquiPAVE R).
  • Coverage: dependent on application.
  • Application temperature: 0–35°C.
  • Application method: Roller.
  • Rainproof time: 30 minutes approx.
  • Overcoat/ traffic time: 60 minutes approx.
  • Able to withstand stress: 120 minutes approx.

Bauder 100/60 GRP Trim Angle.

Guidance for specification option:

GRP roof edge trim for use with Bauder Cold Applied Liquid Waterproofing systems where the system is terminated at perimeter details, such as drip edges, watercheck kerbs or parapets.

  • Length: 3 m.
  • Face depth: 60 mm.
  • Fixing arm: 100 mm.

Note: The trim may be used either way round as required.

  • Thickness: 2 mm.
  • Colour: Black.


Installation: 

  • The trims must be bedded in Bauder Sealant and mechanically fixed with corrosion resistant flush headed screws. 
  • Fixings centres must be no greater than 300 mm with fixings within 50 mm of the ends. In high wind risk areas or above 10 m high, fixing centres are to be at no more than 150 mm.
  • The new trim must cover any open joint, which may exist between the kerb and the top of the wall by a distance of minimum 20 mm.
  • The reinforced Bauder LiquiTOP System is to be dressed over the trim to its full extent and past the edge of the downward facing edge. Once the system has cured, the excess is to be trimmed off to a neat finish.

Bauder Aluminium Termination Bar.

Guidance for specification option:

Natural finish aluminium alternative to a lead counterflashing, for use at upstand details to give protection to the top edge of the waterproofing. It should be restricted to use on upstands where a chase cannot be cut into the wall.

Bauder GRP Termination Bar.

Guidance for specification option:

Black glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) alternative to a lead counterflashing, for use at upstand details to give protection to the top edge of the waterproofing. It should be restricted to use on upstands where a chase cannot be cut into the wall.

Bauder lightning conductors.

Guidance for specification option:

Lightning conductor clips are specially designed, secure clips that allow for movement.

  • Bauder Lightning conductor – Type 4: polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-coated or bare conductor.


Bauder LiquiDETAIL.

Guidance for specification option:

Cold liquid-applied, fast-curing waterproofing resin that can be used on upstands and details. PMMA-based resin that requires the addition of catalyst to trigger curing, and is solvent, isocyanate and halogen-free.
