Description

Boughton BLMP SuDs Soil is a multi-purpose blend of sand, PAS 100 green waste compost, crushed brick and coir, designed to support a range of intensive vegetation. This SuDs blend is designed to be free draining with good porosity, while maintaining a sufficient moisture level to support diverse plant life

Particle size distribution:

  • Clay (<0.002 mm): 0.5%.
  • Silt (0.002–0.063 mm): 1.4%.
  • Very fine sand (0.063–2.0 mm): 5.7%.
  • Fine sand (0.15–0.25 mm): 37%.
  • Medium sand (0.25–0.50 mm): 49.4%.
  • Coarse sand (0.50–1.0 mm): 5.1%.
  • Very coarse sand (1.0–2.0 mm): 0.5%.
  • Total sand: 98.1%.


Texture class (UK classification):

  • Stones (2–4 mm): 0.2 % DW.
  • Stones (8–4 mm): 0.2 % DW.
  • Stones (>8 mm): 0% DW.
  • Saturated hydraulic conductivity: 594 mm/hr.
