Application

  • Suitable for internal and external use.
  • Suitable for use as part of a bead glazing system for installing sealed units to timber frames. (Hodgson Glazing System - B5). Consult manufacturer for further details.
  • Suitable also for bedding glass into steel frames. (Hodgson Glazing Systems B1 and B5).
  • Suitable as a sole bedding compound for bead glazing of single glass into timber frames. (Hodgson Glazing System - B1).

Description

A butyl-rich hand applied non-setting glazing compound.

  • High quality hand-applied non-setting glazing compound for bead glazing.
  • Easy to apply and finish.
  • Paintability: Can be overpainted after skin formation, typically after 7–14 days.
  • Good long-term performance.
  • Conforms fully to all relevant industry standards for installing sealed units into timber or steel frames.
  • Conforms to BS 6262 (Clause 5.3.2.2.1 and Table 5).
  • When used in accordance with the Hodgson Glazing System B5 (Moisture Vapour Permeable Method), the product complies with the following industry standards:
  • BS 8000 Reference 3.4.1.4.
  • GGF Manual Section 4.2 Reference IG4.
  • NHBC Chapter 6.7 (D7 & M7).
  • Zurich New Build Ref. 2.58.
  • Good mould resistance.
  • Can cause staining of porous surfaces if not previously sealed.
