Application

Suitable for use anywhere a penetration or transition exists in a building envelope to improve building thermal and fire resistance performance, such as:

  • Facade system connections to primary frames.
  • Brise soleil and canopies.
  • Roof plant enclosures – columns.
  • Roof parapets.
  • Cladding systems.
  • Connection of external to internal primary building elements.
  • Balconies.
  • Staircases.
  • Isolation of sub-structure and basement elements.
  • Man-safe systems.
  • Connections to existing structures.

Description

High performance, A2 non-combustible structural thermal break plate.

Features and benefits:

  • High performance, A2 fire rated thermal insulator, used between horizontal and vertical connections of internal and external elements to prevent thermal or cold bridging.
  • Constructed from materials with high compressive strength characteristics, combined with a low thermal conductivity.
  • They can be used in a wide variety of applications where there is a structural requirement for thermal insulation, such as steel to steel, steel to concrete/ masonry, steel to timber and concrete to concrete.
  • Rated A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1
  • Maintains structural performance at high temperatures or in the event of fire.
  • An effective solution to meeting Building Regulations by reducing heat loss and internal condensation. Compliant for use under Document B Building Regulations for buildings above 18 m.
  • Warranted for life of the building structure.
  • High compressive strength.
  • Low thermal conductivity coefficient.
  • Remains intact under fire conditions, prevents passage of flame.
  • Capable of transferring load in moment and shear connections without creating significant rotation.
  • Available in a variety of thicknesses.
  • Manufactured to suit the connection detail (bespoke).
