Application

  1. As intumescent fire protection for internal and external structural steel up to C4. Suitable for open beams and columns and hollow sections.
  2. As a repair and touch-up coating for damaged areas of freshly applied Hempafire Pro 400 43490.
  3. As in-shop applied intumescent for increased application efficiency.
  4. Applied in up to 1600 micron (63 mils) dry film thickness per coat (equivalent to 2130 micron (84 mils) wet film thickness).

Hempafire Pro 400

A one component, solvent-borne, physically drying intumescent coating for passive fire protection of structural steel against cellulosic fires.

Optimized for R90, R120 and for in-shop and on-site applications.


Features and benefits:

  • Very competitive loadings results in reduced paint consumption in PFP projects.
  • Faster drying times thanks to lower thicknesses to apply.
  • Very good aesthetic finish, easy to apply and suitable for in-shop and on-site.
  • Same product can be used for all type of steel sections (open, hollows, cellular beams).



Application method:

  • Airless spray.
  • Brush.


Drying time:

Determined for dry film thickness 800 micron (32 mils) at standard conditions. Indicative values at 20ºC; Surface dry: 15 minutes, Through-dry: 16 hours.
