Application

Suitable for suspending up to 50 kg/m², and can be used as follows:

  • The underside of timber and metal joisted construction at 450 or 600 mm centres.
  • On separating timber/ metal studwork or masonry walls.
  • In refurbishment and new build developments (particularly timber frame structures).
  • As part of a Robust Details ceiling system.
  • To form a ceiling or a wall lining to improve acoustic performance.
  • With Hush Multi Panel to improve on standard plasterboard performance.

Description

Deep resilient bar used to optimize acoustic performance by virtually decoupling a ceiling or wall lining from its structure. This significantly reduces sound transmission through the floor, ceiling and wall structures.

It creates a larger void within a construction and allows high mass boards to be used. It can provide enhanced acoustic performance compared to standard resilient bars when used with a recommended lining.

Features and benefits:

  • Can be used to the underside of timber and metal joisted construction at 450 or 600 mm centres.
  • Suitable for suspending up to 50 kg/m².
  • Can be used on separating timber/ metal studwork or masonry walls.
  • Provides excellent acoustic performance.
  • Can be used in refurbishment and new build developments (particularly timber frame structures).
  • Building Regulations Approved Document E (England & Wales), Technical Handbook Section 5 (Scotland) and Technical Handbook G (Northern Ireland) compliant.
  • Can be used as part of a Robust Details ceiling system.
  • Creates a 30 mm void to enhance acoustic performance.
  • Can be used to form a ceiling or a wall lining to improve acoustic performance.
  • Can be used with Hush Multi Panel to improve on standard plasterboard performance.
  • Easy to install.
