Description

Hush Slab 75 is an insulating slab spun from molten rock manufactured by utilising renewable energy and a sustainable source of raw material.

The acoustic insulation slab can be used to fill the voids between joists in timber floor/ceiling constructions or in between timber or metal studwork of separating walls.

Produced from non-combustible inorganic rock it is defined as 'mineral wool' in BS 3533 and complies fully with the recommendations of BS 5422 and BS 3958-5.

Hush Slab 75 will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria, does not sustain vermin, is rot proof, odourless, and completely non-hydroscopic.

The product has an A1 fire classification. This means it complies with the requirements of non-combustible materials/products, as defined in all the Building Regulations covering the UK and Ireland, making it suitable for use in separating floor/ceiling and wall designs where the specification also seeks to reduce the spread of fire.

Hush Slab 75 also offers excellent thermal performance which may also be beneficial to the design of connected homes – new build or refurbishment. It has a thermal resistance of 2.10 m2K/W and thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK.

It is compliant with Building Regulations Part E (England and Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland) and can be used as part of Robust Details floor and wall systems.
