Low carbon masonry void infill lime mortar.
Masonry void infill mortar for transitional steel frame buildings.
An alkali-activated cementitious material that is lime-based with low compressive strength for use as an infill mortar for transitional steel frame buildings. In its dry form it is an off-white powder containing alkalis and mixes with water to harden as an off-white/ light grey mortar.
LoCem® HLM should be mixed thoroughly with an efficient shear mixer and placed with suitable equipment e.g. pressure pot or helical screw units. Water for mixing the powder should be clean and comply with the requirements of BS EN 1008.
Features and benefits:
Note: compressive strength development, workability and setting times are dependent on temperature and water content. This can be controlled with C-Probe retarders if necessary. Higher or lower temperatures will result in reduced or extended setting times, respectively.
