Application

Particularly suited for a wide range of architectural cladding applications on both internal and external commercial and residential projects, where a sleek/ modern facade is required.


All provided products are tested and certified in accordance with Approved Document B, Volume 2, for high-rise buildings.

Description

Non-combustible, A1-rated, through fix panel (rivet fix) rainscreen cladding system with a panel thickness of 3 mm.


A typical system comprises:

  • Insulation (to specified thickness).
  • Breather membrane.
  • EVT II support structure.
  • Cavity fire barriers.
  • A1-rated cladding panels (3 mm thickness).
  • RJ Facades Ltd fixings.


Cladding panel - Features and benefits:

  • Rivet fixed panels are cut into flat sheets and holes punched/ drilled for rivet locations. Fixings can be matched to the panel to give a partially hidden installation.
  • No oil-canning appearance.
  • Offers a cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing facade solution.
  • Lightweight and rigid, easy to install.
  • Installation method: Either top-down or bottom-up.
  • Non-combustible: A1 rated to BS EN 13501-1.
  • Versatile: Can be custom designed into a wide range of shapes and dimensions including perforated or curved in some applications.
  • UL Mark – Performance of Cladding and Cladding Support Systems (pending).
  • Tested to CWCT standards with wind load of 3600 Pa safety. 
  • Highly durable and impact-resistant, can be used effectively in high traffic areas.
  • Available in an extensive range of standard colours.
  • Finished with polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) KYNAR 500, HYLAR 5000 or fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) paints, known for their high durability, providing the optimum resistance to weather. They also provide customizable colour/ finish options.
  • Warranty available up to 40 years - consult manufacturer for details.
  • Extremely flat, low surface stress.
  • Also available as a TFC (Through Fix Cassette Cladding System), SFC (Secret Fix Cassette Cladding System - hook on fixed), IPP (Interlocking Pressed Plank Cladding System), CP (Castellated Panel Cladding System), or a "near zero CO2 e" low carbon aluminium alloy (which are specified separately).


4.8 mm diameter colour matched, large flange rivets are fixed to EVT II system. Fixing centres should be spaced 14–50 mm from the panel edge. When using rivets, ensure that a RT/ACB/NP/AL/K14 Rivet Nosepiece adapter is also used to prevent over-tightening of the rivets. Once fixed points are installed, work over the panel for the sliding centres – consult manufacturers drawings for further details.

EVT II Helping Hand Brackets, System Profiles and Structural Support Profiles:

  • Brackets: Adjustability of 47 mm up to maximum 364 mm. Custom depth brackets are also available - consult manufacturer for details.
  • System Profiles and Structural Support Profiles: Aluminium carrier system, manufactured in 6063 T6 or 6060 T66 using certified low carbon aluminium alloy, profiles and fixings which have been Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) tested and certified by UL Mark – Performance of Cladding and Cladding Support Systems (R40530-1), UKAS accredited and recognized by the NHBC for technical project submissions. Designed to offer a cost effective yet strong carrier system, and is suitable for all building types. 


EVT II - Structural C Channels and Top-Hat Support Profiles:

Comprises of aluminium or stainless steel top-hats and C-channel rails to allow brackets to be installed in isolation of stud location or increase system depth. The EVT II top-hats can also be used in their own right to replace timber batten style sub-grids.


EVT II - Rails:

L-profile or T-profile, available in a range of sizes and 6 m in length. Consult manufacturer for details.
