Application

TSMS-S (standard system):

  • Versatile product covering majority design scenarios; its lightweight properties make it easy to handle and install.

TSMS-I (inverted system):

  • Typically this system is found at pier location at the bottom of windows and predominately designed with reveals.

Description

Masonry support plays a pivotal role in construction, taking the external masonry load and efficiently transferring it back to the structural frame. Allowing for differential movement within masonry panels and the structure around the building, found at horizontal movement joints, window heads, soffits, or large openings. Typically made from 304/304 L austenitic stainless steel, it is a A1 non-combustible system. The system usually supports one or two floors depending on cavity size and structure type.

TSMS-S (standard system):

  • The standard masonry support system is a versatile product covering majority design scenarios; its lightweight properties make it easy to handle and install.

TSMS-I (inverted system):

  • The inverted system still includes an angled and bracket design like the standard system, however the angle is positioned above the fixing zone. Typically the system is found at pier location at the bottom of windows and predominately designed with reveals.

Features and benefits:

  • Comply with all UKCA and CE requirements of the standard BS EN 1090-1, including EN 1993 (Eurocode 3).
  • A1 non-combustible system.
  • Available as TSMS-S (standard system) or TSMS-I (inverted system).
  • Supplied as welded or bolted units.
  • Masonry support systems must maintain a minimum 2/3 rd masonry bearing.
  • Wall ties should be positioned vertically within 300 mm of the support angle.
  • Systems are specifically designed for each project.
  • Maximum 12 mm of shimming for the system.
  • Typically found at horizontal movement joints.
