Powerlon® UV 120 is a plain black un-printed UV resistant breather membrane for use behind partially open cladding and rainscreens in vertical wall & Façade applications.
Application
Powerlon® UV 120 façade membrane for installations behind open or closed ventilated rainscreens and façades on vertical walls.
Storage and handling:
- Store membrane rolls horizontally in a cool, dry sheltered store.
- Handle the material with care and ensure that the membrane is not creased or folded.
Installation:
- Ensure that the membrane is not creased or folded. Loosely install the membrane around the corner or make a well-sealed butt joint. Do not crease the material.
- Unroll the membrane in such a way that the inside of the roll faces out once installed.
- Pull the membrane tight and always fasten loose ends, overlaps and edges mechanically with staples or Powerlon® UV Facade Sealant or Powerlon® UV Facade Tape.
- Do not glue to non-rigid surfaces such as the insulation.
- Staples can be used as long as they are sealed with either Powerlon® UV façade Tape or Powerbond® Butyl Tape.
Gaps:
- Maximum 30 mm gaps.
- Maximum overall exposure 30%.
Overlaps:
- Vertical overlaps should be 100 mm minimum.
- Horizontal overlaps should be 100 mm minimum.

Powerlon® UV 120 is a breathable façade membrane engineered to provide long-term protection for the building envelope in wall applications. Designed for installations behind open or closed ventilated rainscreens and facades. Powerlon® UV 120 is highly UV resistant with superior durability compared to conventional breather membranes.
Powerlon® UV 120 is suitable for use behind open jointed gaps up to a maximum 30 mm, with an maximum overall exposure of 30%.
