Open cell spray foam insulation suitable for:

Description

Use Cases:


The product can be used as an insulation system in the following applications:


  • Pitched Roof
  • External Wall (Interior side)
  • Suspended Floor


The product can be installed in these assemblies based on the following detail:

  • Pitched roof insulation (low resistance roof membranes) - the product can be spray-applied between roof rafters directly to low-resistance roof membranes to create an airtight thermal insulation system. Where required, an AVCL (Air and Vapour Control Layer) or Intelligent Membrane can be installed on the warm side of the insulation to protect against interstitial condensation.
  • External Walls (interior applications only) - the product can be spray-applied between wall studs on the interior face of the wall assembly. The product can be spray-applied to masonry, timber or breathable membranes where there is adequate protection from exterior moisture ingress. Where required, an AVCL (Air and Vapour Control Layer) or Intelligent Membrane can be installed on the warm side of the insulation to protect against interstitial condensation.
  • Suspended Floors (underside of suspended floor in crawlspaces) - the product can be spray-applied between floor joists to the underside of the suspended floor deck. Where required, an AVCL (Air and Vapour Control Layer) or Intelligent Membrane can be installed on the warm side of the insulation to protect against interstitial condensation.


Product Description:

A spray-applied, two component, open cell polyurethane foam insulation system. The product is formed by the reaction of patented resin blend and polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. The resin blend is comprised of Polyols, additives, fire retardants and blowing agents.


The spray applied nature allows the material to flow into voids and seal cracks, expanding to form a seamless thermal envelope.


Additional characteristics include high yield, high R-value, low U-Value (resistance to heat flow), high renewable content and

excellent fire resistance. The product is available in two

densities.


Thermal Barriers:

The product must be separated from the interior of the building (occupied space) by an approved fire lining such as Gypsum plasterboard when installed into a habitable area. In non-habitable areas, the product does not need to be covered with an approved fire lining.


The product has a BS476 Part 7: Class 1 rating for surface spread of flame, the UK's only Open Cell density with this rating. A Euroclass B rating can be achieved when covered with an intumescent DC315 coating.


Product Benefits:
