Application

For use under parapet copings and as a means of closing cavity in eave details.

  • J1 closer is suitable for use in cavities up to and including 90 mm.
  • J2 is a larger closer suitable for use in cavities up to and including 100 mm.
  • J3 is bespoke - all dimensions are available.

Description

Cavity closer for masonry beneath copings at parapets and eaves. At parapet locations, the cavity closer provides support for the DPC beneath copings.


Features and benefits:

  • Available with or without integral insulation, which provides a thermal break.
  • Fulfils the DPC support requirements illustrated in BS 5628-3.
  • Fulfils NHBC performance standard, chapter 6.1, S4 (c) to (d).
