OVERVIEW
The Spires Health Centre in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is using two bespoke metal column casings from the Pendock Radius range to conceal structural steelwork used to support the building’s delta shaped main entrance canopy.
Manufactured by Pendock from 2mm thick aluminium, the elliptical casings measure 560mm by 380mm, to enclose the health centre’s two ‘I’ section steel canopy supports, which helps minimise the column casing footprint and reduce their overall size.
They also incorporate a matt PPC finish, in RAL 7005, Mouse Grey, each metal column casing uses a two-piece stacked construction, enabling them to reach their respective heights of 6.8 metres and 5.9 metres.
