OVERVIEW
Westhouses Primary School is a small village school which provides primary education to seventy children aged between 4 to 11. The school building is over 110 years old but is spacious and very well maintained. The present accommodation consists of a hall, three classrooms, library area, office, staff-room and a school meals kitchen.
It has two main playgrounds and two grassed areas. There is also a large recreation ground next to the school which is used for sports and games.
The school wanted to provide a dedicated play area for reception class children by building a new entrance door from their classroom directly into the playground and needed to provide a safe and secure boundary around this part of the play area.
