Description

Safewood Insulating Basecoat is the intumescent layer for the Safewood Anti-Viral SFR System that gives both anti-viral and fire protection on bare and painted wood.

Features and benefits:

  • Available in pack sizes of 20 m², 40 m² and 80 m².
  • Compliant with BS EN 13501, B-s1,d0 standards, for full control of flamespread and toxic smoke emission on painted internal walls and ceilings.
  • Can be used as part of a system to achieve 30 or 60 minute fire resistance.
  • Part one of system to make walls anti-viral and anti-bacterial- both with +90% efficacy.

Application:

  • All surfaces must be clean and dry. Remove all possible surface contaminates such as grease, smoke residues and silicates.
  • Brush or roller applied via woven fabric roller sleeves and synthetic bristle brushes or spray applied using a pressure pot and gun conventional unit with small compressor.
