Application

  • For sealing the overlapping seams and securing the terminated perimeter edges of illbruck Class A2 and Class A1 Reaction to Fire Breather Membranes and Vapour Barrier membranes to the structure.
  • ME355 FR Sealing Tape maintains the Class A2-s1,d0 Reaction to Fire when used with illbruck ME050 A2, W1, ME055 A1, W2 Breather Membranes or ME060 A2 Vapour Barrier Membrane.
  • Compatible with wood, painted wood, concrete, masonry, gypsum board, calcium silicate board, aluminium and steel.

Manufacturer guidance

As per manufacturers' Technical Data Sheet. Primer AT140 is required when bridging over known barriers to adhesion such as over-applied and smeared Fire Rated Silicone based sealants applied between horizontal and vertical butt joints in sheathing boards and at the head and foot of sheathing boards at the slab edge interface. Apply the tape wrinkle and bubble free, do not stretch the tape when applying. Apply in pre-cut short over lapping sections or continuously direct from the roll.
