The partial thread construction screw with universal applications and corrosion protection for use in damp/ wet areas or outdoor use.
For indoor use in damp and wet areas (kitchen, bathroom etc.) and outdoor use with direct exposure to weather.
SPAX A2 stainless steel partial thread 'construction use' screws are the solution for various joinery projects using wood.

Features and benefits:
The special power drive – T-STAR plus – is a so-called hexalobular socket. Compared to less precise drive types such as Philips or Phillips, the contact surface of our T-STAR plus is significantly larger, and the T-STAR plus bits always fit perfectly in the screw head. The resulting optimal, precise power transfer from screwdriver to screw with the T-STAR plus enables simple and extremely fast work, and is significantly more efficient than with any other drive.
The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) is the most commonly used head geometry in the SPAX universe. It has a tapered shape and, at SPAX, is designed as a 90° MULTI head. The countersunk head screws offer the optimal compromise between maximum resistance to the resulting head pull-through forces and the most discreet and attractive screw connection possible. With its polygonal underside ("pockets"), the countersunk head mills its own recess into the wood, allowing it to be optimally countersunk into the wood without additional countersinking of the screw hole, and then sits flush with the surface.
In contrast to a partial thread, the full thread on most of SPAX’s full-thread screws extends the entire length, or almost the entire length, from the tip to the head. The more threads a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces it can absorb. SPAX take advantage of this, especially in structural timber construction, where full-thread screws are used for heavy-duty wood connections.
The CUT tip of SPAX screws allows for extremely fast and effective screwing in of wood screws without pre-drilling. The arrow-shaped CUT tip, combined with the wave profile, reduces splitting and cracking of the wood. Furthermore, the CUT tip enables very precise and non-slip application of the screw tip, even on smooth surfaces.
The abbreviation A2 for SPAX’s stainless steel screws comes from the steel's alloy. ‘A’ stands for "austenite," a mixture of iron, carbon, and the alloying elements chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. The 2 (1-5) indicates the alloying grade, i.e., the chromium and nickel content.
A2 stainless steel screws offer high corrosion protection and medium strength. However, their resistance to seawater and acids is low. They are therefore used outdoors in areas far from the coast, where they provide long-lasting, reliable service.
